This iconic building in Plaza Mayor is not only the main tourist information point in the city of Madrid, but also has two areas for holding business events and cocktail receptions: the Salón Real (royal hall) and the Sala de Bóvedas (vaulted room). The front of the building boasts some beautiful mural paintings depicting mythological scenes; they are the work of artist Carlos Franco and represent the Spanish capital's history, traditions and identity.

The Salón Real was formerly part of a suite of rooms used by monarchs to rest, receive guests and attend all the festivities held in the square. It is one of the city’s historic venues and nowadays is a popular setting for civil weddings. It is also used by the Mayor to greet those attending major conferences held in Madrid. The Sala de Bóvedas holds approximately 80 people and is located in the basement of this prominent building in Hapsburg Madrid. This space is used for exhibitions and all kinds of presentations. It covers 258 square metres and has vaulted ceilings reaching around four metres in height.
