The city of Madrid received 11.2 million visitors in 2025, generating 23.8 million overnight stays. Its main international source markets were the United States, Italy, France, the United Kingdom and Mexico. Total expenditure reached €17.895 billion, representing an 11.1% increase compared to 2024.

In 2025, the city reached a historic record for international tourist spending with 17.9 billion euros, a 71% increase compared to 2019. We welcomed more than 11 million travellers, while average spending per tourist once again reached record levels, at 1,964 euros: an increase of 44% in just six years and the leading figure in Spain.
