Centro Danza Matadero – CDM draws inspiration from the world’s most important dance centres, whose editorial approach revolves around the creative personality of an artist. Here, that figure is María Pagés, whose vision and determination seek to transform flamenco—the Spanish art form par excellence—in this space which embraces dances from all over the world.
The editorial approach aims to establish Matadero Madrid in the world of dance, championing it, from Legazpi, Arganzuela, as a cultural, civic and resilient space capable of redefining the cultural and human heritage of Madrid as a global creative and ethical resource.
Spread over an area of approximately 1,300m², CDM’s standard seating arrangement allows for a maximum capacity of 449 seats. However, this can be increased to 634 by installing additional seating along the sides.
It is equipped with dressing rooms, showers, toilets, a hairdressing and make-up room and a wardrobe department.
• The facility provides access for people with reduced mobility.
