Medialab Prado is a public production and research laboratory promoting digital culture and exploring experimental formats and collaborative learning methods that have arisen from digital networks.

Over the last decade it has built up a substantial community of local and international users and partner institutions, and its innovative approaches have been replicated all over the world.

In April 2013, it opened in a new location in the former Serrería Belga building close to Paseo del Prado. One of the few examples of industrial architecture that survive in Madrid today, it was refurbished by architects Langarita and Navarro.
